Two Free Webinars on Adoption Assistance

In the coming weeks, NACAC will offer two free webinars on adoption assistance:

• January 31, 2:30 p.m. central time, Adoption Assistance Benefits and Eligibility — Josh Kroll will present information about adoption assistance benefits, including which children are eligible and the benefits available. The session will be of use to prospective adopters as well as parents who are seeking to make a change in the child's benefits due to changes in the child's needs or family's circumstances. • February 7, 2:30 p.m. central time, Adoption Assistance Advocacy — With state and provincial budgets continuing to be tight, adoptive parents, adoption professionals, and other child advocates will need to be vigilant in case legislators seek to balance budgets by reducing adoption assistance benefits. In this session, Adoption Subsidy Resource Center project coordinator Josh Kroll will explore advocacy strategies to maintain and enhance adoption subsidy programs. Register at NACAC.org

Princess Time of Year-Please Spread the Word

Make sure to reserve your ticket to the ball, space is limited and you don't want to be left at home with the mice! To Princesses All Across The Land... This is a special day where princesses at heart (girls in both foster care and general admission) can get the royal treatment for the day, including getting their hair done and enjoying a Royal Tea Party with the all the other princesses! Imagine Being A Princess For A Day.... All girls in foster care are admitted free of charge with advanced registration. General admission for all other princesses is $50. This is a girls only royal party, and all princesses will need to be accompanied by their King or Queen. Due to limited space we can only accommodate the princesses along with one adult so please leave the extra princes and wicked stepsisters home at the castle. Want To Find Out How You Can Help? We are looking for donations of princess dresses, tiaras, wands, sashes, and all other princess jewelry and attire. Do you want to learn more about how to make a difference in the life of a foster child in your community? Maybe as a mentor, volunteer, donor, or as a foster or adoptive parent? There are many roles and many ways you can make a difference in the life of foster children in your community, please come and learn more. We welcome all and anything you have to offer. This is free and open to the public. You will meet several agencies and be given information about their programs. All of our programs are focused on children in the foster care system. . Come join us!

This is free and open to the public. Reservations are of course encouraged. Map at the bottom of the page. Foster care needs a community solution, we need you!!

Online Child Matching Event

Online Child Matching Event Hosted By A Family For Every Child We are excited to announce that we will be holding our first online matching event on January 26th. A Family For Every Child has partnered with the state of Washington to help foster children find permanent placements. During this online webinar event you will have private access to 10 special children, where you can view photos and/or video. Caseworkers will be on hand to answer your questions and give families feedback and information about the type of families that would be the best match for these children. In order for you to attend this special event you will need to to fill out the online sign up form and insure that you have uploaded your homestudy with us. Only Adoption workers and Families with completed homestudies will be approved to attend to this event due to the personal and detailed information that will be provided about the children during the event. LOOK FOR REGISTRATION ON OUR SITE ANY DAY We will be featuring 9 special children who are waiting for their forever families!

Katherin 15 years old Katherin has many talents and interests, some that include colorling, crossword puzzles, and helping others. Cody 14 years old Cody likes swimming and enjoys warm weather. Skyler 15 years old Skyler is an avid baseball player, who also enjoys riding his bike and skateboarding.
